of Use
The terms and conditions governing your use of our platform and freight services.
Effective date: 1 April 2026
Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using the Blue Anchor Freight Services platform. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Definitions
"Blue Anchor", "we", "our", "us" refers to Blue Anchor Agency Ltd, registered in England and Wales.
"Customer", "you", "your" refers to any individual or business using our platform or services.
"Services" refers to all freight, collection, storage, and logistics services provided by Blue Anchor.
"Platform" refers to our website, customer portal, and any related applications.
2. Use of Services
By using our platform or services, you agree to these Terms of Use.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or book a shipment.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You agree to provide accurate and complete information when booking shipments, including cargo descriptions, weights, and values.
Misrepresentation of cargo contents may result in delays, additional charges, or refusal of service.
3. Bookings and Shipments
All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Blue Anchor.
Shipment references are generated upon booking confirmation and serve as your tracking identifier.
Estimated transit times are indicative and may vary due to weather, customs processing, port congestion, or other factors beyond our control.
Blue Anchor reserves the right to refuse any shipment that contains prohibited, restricted, or hazardous goods not declared at the time of booking.
4. Pricing and Payment
Prices quoted are based on the cargo details provided at the time of booking.
Final charges may be adjusted if actual weight, volume, or cargo type differs from what was declared.
VAT and other levies apply per Nigerian Customs assessment for each job.
Payment is due within the timeframe specified on the invoice (typically 14 days from issue).
Late payments may incur additional charges and may result in cargo being held until payment is received.
We accept payment by bank transfer. Payments must reference the invoice number.
5. Collections and Pickups
Pickup and delivery within Nigeria are arranged on a per-job basis as described on the platform.
Collection times are estimates — actual collection may vary within the specified time window.
Cargo must be properly packed and ready for collection at the scheduled time.
Blue Anchor is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect addresses, inaccessible locations, or cargo not being ready.
Cancellations of scheduled pickups must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
6. Customs and Documentation
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure all customs documentation is accurate and complete.
Blue Anchor provides customs clearance support but is not liable for delays or charges arising from incorrect or incomplete documentation provided by the customer.
Import duties, taxes, and customs charges at the destination are the responsibility of the receiver unless otherwise agreed.
Prohibited and restricted items vary by country — it is the customer's responsibility to verify what can be shipped.
7. Insurance
Optional cargo insurance is available at 2% of declared value.
Insurance must be requested at the time of booking.
Insurance covers loss or damage during transit. Claims must be submitted within 30 days of delivery.
Blue Anchor's liability without insurance is limited to £100 per shipment or the actual value of the goods, whichever is lower.
8. Liability
Blue Anchor shall not be liable for delays or losses caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, strikes, government actions, war, pandemics, or port closures.
Our total liability for any claim relating to a shipment shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for that shipment.
Blue Anchor is not liable for consequential, indirect, or incidental damages arising from the use of our services.
9. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations before cargo collection: full refund minus any collection fees already incurred.
Cancellations after collection but before departure: refund minus handling, storage, and collection fees.
Cancellations after departure: no refund is available.
Refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method.
10. Account Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
Blue Anchor reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or have outstanding unpaid invoices.
Upon termination, any outstanding balances remain payable.
